"When you lose your eyesight, you lose contact with things. When you lose your hearing, you lose contact with people"
(Helen Keller)

Aubrey Smith served in the British Army for 33 years and after leaving the Armed Force and decided to take a career change and join his brother in Hearing. Aubrey's career in audiology began when he took over the family hearing care business from his brother in the New Forest. This business was subsequently taken over and Aubrey moved to a major independent hearing and optical business in Hampshire.

Aubrey is a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (RHAD) and a Member of the Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (MSHAA). Aubrey trained with Mary Hare School for the Deaf, partnered to Oxford Brooks University, and has since worked in the hearing care industry for many years.

Based on his wide experience, Aubrey has decided to start his own family business; SMITHS HEARING CARE LTD in order to put the greatest emphasis on "care" and provide a bespoke service to his clients.  He is also very conscience of the need to provide good care in the local community; his focus being Andover and the surrounding area.  Aubrey finds it really rewarding to work with his clients to improve their quality of life, by helping them achieve the best hearing possible. The best part of Aubrey's work is when patients turn on their hearing aids for the first time and a huge smile lights up their faces, when they can hear what people are saying for the first time in a long while.

OUR HELP IN COMMUNITY

Aubrey's family is very important to him but he also devotes much of his time to the community in Andover. Once a national level hockey and squash player himself; he supports the local hockey club by helping to coach and local squash players in his spare time. He still keeps fit by swimming and cycling.  Aubrey is prepared to give his time by volunteering his help and advice. He has even been known to gift an older hearing aid to someone who is most in need but unable to afford the latest equipment Aubrey will always go the extra mile to help someone.
