When face masks and face covering became mandatory on public transport now about to become compulsory in shops, cafes, restaurants and for medical appointments. Life for the deaf has just been made so much more difficult. If peoples hearing isn't as good as it used to be they will be using visual clues from facial expressions, body language and lip movements. Covering the face is going to be a real uphill battle. Clear face masks would help, but are more expensive to produce. So please use gestures like thumbs up, a wave and smile too because the eyes are a good give away. These little things will make the life of a person with a hearing difficulty a little better.
